Great Lakes Great Responsibility is a grassroots nonprofit dedicated to protecting the freshwater resources of the Great Lakes through stewardship, marine debris prevention, education, and community action.
We believe that preserving and protecting the Great Lakes is a shared responsibility, and we work to empower individuals, businesses, schools, and communities to take meaningful action on behalf of our most precious resource.
Real People Making a Real Difference
GLGR's mission is to remove and prevent marine debris in the Great Lakes watershed through community action and regional advocacy. Through shoreline cleanups, educational programs, community partnerships, and policy engagement, they help remove trash from our shorelines, prevent pollution at its source, and inspire lasting environmental stewardship across the Great Lakes Basin.
